This particular role is based at Hilltop House in Hartwell, a premier site currently rated as Outstanding by the CQC. As part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team, your work will directly ensure that residents and staff enjoy a safe, comfortable, and beautifully maintained environment.

The Role: What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be instrumental in the upkeep of our reputable nursing facilities, working across internal buildings and external grounds. Your daily tasks will include:

General Upkeep: Carrying out general maintenance tasks, internal/external painting, and decorating as instructed.
Grounds & Exterior: Maintaining the outside fabric of the building and assisting with grounds upkeep or external cleaning.
Facilities Support: Helping to operate and maintain vital heating and hot water plant systems.
Work Management: Efficiently prioritising tasks to keep the facility safe, compliant, and running smoothly.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an organised, practical, and reliable individual with a flexible attitude. Because you will be working within a care setting, a respectful, positive, and patient approach is essential.

Requirements:

Experience: Proven track record in a maintenance role (experience within a care sector or similar environment is highly desirable).
Skills: Proficient in using and maintaining hand/power tools, physically fit to lift light equipment/furniture, and intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Word/Email).
Knowledge: A solid understanding of relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Flexibility: A full driving licence and willingness to travel between local Northamptonshire sites is required.
Qualifications: Formal trade qualifications or formal health & safety training are not required, but will highly assist your application.
Visa Restrictions: Please note, we may be unable to support applications where Home Office visa restrictions prevent candidates from meeting the full 37.5-hour contractual requirement.
