Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential care service in East Ardsley, Wakefield, for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their night team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and other complex needs in a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment.

About the Service

The residential service supports 19 adults with a range of care needs, including:

Learning disabilities
Autism spectrum conditions
Mental health needs
Personality disorders
Communication difficulties
Mild to moderate behaviours that may challenge
Trauma-related support needs

The service focuses on promoting independence, wellbeing, dignity, and meaningful participation in everyday life.

The Role

As a Night Support Worker, you will work alongside an experienced team to provide high-quality care and support throughout the night, ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support with daily living activities where required.
Encourage independence and promote choice at every opportunity.
Support residents in achieving their individual goals and personal outcomes.
Maintain accurate care plans, daily notes, and other documentation.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
Act as a Key Worker, supporting individuals to plan and review their goals.
Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, health & safety, and organisational policies.
Contribute ideas to help improve the quality of the service.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment during night shifts.

What We're Looking For

A caring, compassionate, and respectful approach to supporting others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible, reliable, and able to work night shifts.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
A Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 3 years is desirable but not essential.
Resilience and a genuine passion for improving the lives of vulnerable adults.
