Work in a children’s home that makes a positive, lasting difference to children’s lives. This Deputy Manager role is ideal for experienced Senior Residential Workers or existing Deputy Managers who are looking to further develop their leadership skills within residential childcare. We are looking for a determined, caring, and thoughtful professional to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, child-centred care.

Who We Are Looking For

We need an ambitious leader who can model excellent childcare practice and guide a dedicated team.

The Requirements:

Qualifications: Must hold an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within Residential Childcare alongside young people.
License: Holds a valid manual driving licence.
Age: Must be 22 years of age or older (to meet Ofsted regulations).

The Role: What You Will Do

Using your life skills and professional experience, you will make a profound difference in our children's lives—building positive relationships, ensuring their individual needs are met, and safeguarding them at all times.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Team Guidance: Conduct staff supervisions, lead shifts, facilitate staff meetings, and offer daily guidance to the team.
Operations: Manage staff rotas and ensure all home policies, procedures, and risk assessments are strictly adhered to and regularly updated.
Child Development: Ensure individual placement plans are meticulously followed and that every child's education and wellbeing are actively supported.
