About the Opportunity

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist mental healthcare provider for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join the multidisciplinary team at Braeburn House.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working in inpatient mental health services and under the Mental Health Act. You will provide clinical leadership within a Level 2 Rehabilitation service supporting adult men with complex mental health conditions, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused care.

The successful candidate will work closely with another Consultant Psychiatrist and a full-time Specialty Doctor while leading patient care across a 28-bed rehabilitation service.

Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act.
Lead multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk assessments, and treatment planning.
Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Provide clinical leadership across the rehabilitation service.
Contribute specialist psychiatric expertise within the multidisciplinary team.
Participate in clinical governance, management meetings, and service development.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior medical staff and multidisciplinary colleagues.
Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and professional revalidation requirements.
Promote recovery-focused, person-centred care using positive behavioural support principles.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have:

Medical qualification with MRCPsych (or equivalent).
Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
Previous experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
Experience working within inpatient mental health services.
Strong leadership and multidisciplinary team management skills.
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of current psychiatric practice, relevant legislation, and mental health service delivery.
