An Impactful, Multi-Disciplinary Role

You will be permanently based at Hall Cliffe Primary School, an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Located in Wakefield, the school expertly meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with special educational needs including:

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
Speech, language, and communication difficulties
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
ADHD

The Role: Get Out What You Put In

As an essential part of an on-site, multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will embed your expertise directly into our living and learning environments.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Clinical Formulation: Conducting thorough clinical assessments and formulations to offer highly individualised communication interventions to our young people.
Team Collaboration: Supporting, guiding, and advising educational and residential colleagues to maintain therapeutic, clinically informed environments.
Staff Training: Acting as a confident, engaging model and trainer to upskill school staff on communication strategies.
Holistic Practice: Contributing to a unified team around the child to ensure best outcomes and a positive future path.

What We Need From You

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and passionate practitioner who possesses the clinical expertise to engage vulnerable young people effectively.

Requirements:

A qualified Speech and Language Therapist with current HCPC registration.
A specialist with proven skills and experience delivering targeted therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs.
Demonstrated experience in supporting teams around a child to maintain clinically informed spaces.
A confident leader, guide, and trainer who is ready to take the initiative.
