Working as a Bank Chef through our supportive bridge staffing agency on behalf of Barchester Healthcare, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored around residents' preferences. You will help manage the kitchen during absences, maintain stellar culinary standards, and bring your passion for quality and hospitality to Washington Grange Care Home.

Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)

Help manage the kitchen effectively in the Head Chef’s absence.
Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality, wholesome dishes cooked to exacting standards.
Assist in leading, motivating, and supporting the kitchen team.
Work within budgets, complete regular audits, and manage stock control.
Help create a warm, efficient, and fun dining environment during day shifts.

Candidate Requirements (What You'll Need)

A personable, warm approach with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing.
City & Guilds, NVQ/SVQ, or equivalent culinary qualifications.
Experience in helping lead and inspire a kitchen team.
A solid understanding of nutrition and working with fresh, seasonal food.
A good working knowledge of HACCP guidelines.
