About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our trusted healthcare partners for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a specialist neurological and mental health service in Warrington, UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Social Worker who is passionate about supporting adults with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), and Deaf Mental Health needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will manage a complex caseload, contribute to safeguarding and discharge planning, and play a key role in empowering individuals throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Social Worker, you will:

Manage a complex caseload of individuals with mental health and neurological conditions.
Conduct comprehensive social care and risk assessments.
Support pre-admission assessments and discharge planning.
Liaise with Local Authorities, Health Services, Social Services, and Probation teams throughout admission and discharge.
Work closely with service users and their families to support person-centred care planning.
Prepare reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals and Hospital Managers' Hearings.
Facilitate access to housing, welfare rights, advocacy, and community support services.
Maintain accurate electronic records and case documentation.
Provide guidance and support to junior members of the social work team.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote recovery and independence.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

Degree, Diploma, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
Registration with Social Work England.
Previous experience working within a similar healthcare or mental health setting.
Experience managing complex social work caseloads.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, mental health legislation, and care planning.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to complete Breakaway and Management of Violence & Aggression (MVA) training.

Desirable

Experience working within neurological rehabilitation, mental health, or secure healthcare settings.
Experience preparing tribunal reports and working with multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) rehabilitation pathways.
