About the Role

Are you an experienced property maintenance professional with leadership experience looking for a rewarding permanent role where you can ensure a safe, beautiful, and welcoming environment for residents?

As the Head of Maintenance at Oak Grange Care Home, you will oversee the upkeep of our building, grounds, and gardens to help deliver first-class care. From hands-on repairs and gardening tasks to leading a maintenance team, liaising with external contractors, and assisting the General Manager with annual budget planning, no two days are the same in this vital leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Management: Maintain the building, facilities, and grounds to the highest possible standards, ensuring a safe, secure, and warm environment.
Team & Contractor Leadership: Lead and support the maintenance team while managing external contractors for specialized projects.
Budget & Administration: Assist the General Manager with annual budget planning, record-keeping, and general administrative duties.
Resident Welfare: Carry out all tasks with sensitivity and consideration for the residents' comfort, safety, and daily routines.

What We Are Looking For

Experience & Skills: Hands-on property maintenance experience, proficiency in at least one trade skill, and the ability to handle a wide variety of maintenance and gardening tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements: A full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
Personality: Reliable, flexible, and deeply committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
