Located in a pleasant neighbourhood off the main road in Bamber Bridge, The Spinney is a unique, homely residential service supporting three adult males and females with autism and learning disabilities. The team here is entirely dedicated to helping residents live fulfilled, active lives—encouraging their dreams, goals, and aspirations while connecting them safely and happily with the wider community.

## What You’ll Be Doing

You will be part of a close-knit, compassionate team ensuring the smooth, safe, and joyful running of the service. Every day is different, but your core impact will include:

Personalized Support: Assisting residents with daily living tasks, personal care, and exciting community activities tailored to their individual choices and goals.
Care Administration: Keeping accurate daily notes, updating charts, and maintaining person-centred support and care plans.
Building Connections: Developing excellent rapport with residents while maintaining professional, trusted relationships with their families, your colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Safety & Standards: Upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and confidentiality by adhering to established policies and procedures.

## What You’ll Bring to the Role

Our work is incredibly rewarding, but it can also be challenging. Resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude are your greatest tools!

Qualifications: Ideally, you have (or are working towards) an NVQ2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), alongside GCSEs/NVQ2 in English and Maths.
Don't have your NVQ2 yet? No problem! If you're the right fit, we just ask that you commit to starting your qualification within your first six months.
Experience: Experience in a similar care or support environment is highly desirable, but a natural empathy and willingness to learn are vital.
