About the Role

Do you enjoy being an integral part of your local community? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with our national retail client to recruit a future convenience star as a Store Colleague - Convenience for their local Morrisons Daily store in North Ferriby.

In this varied role, you will help make your store the favourite neighbourhood shop. You will be trained to cover various tasks, including till and cash operations (including Post Office duties where required, subject to DBS), stock control, merchandising, preparing Food to Go, and ensuring the store operates safely and legally. (Please note: This role involves regular lone working, so candidates must be comfortable and confident working independently in store for periods of time. Additionally, candidates must be over 18 years old due to licensing conditions regarding the sale of alcohol).

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Operations: Deliver excellent service, meet and greet community members, and operate tills and cash systems (including Post Office duties if applicable).
Store Presentation & Stock: Manage stock control, merchandising, and prepare Food to Go items.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure the store operates safely and legally at all times.
Lone Working & Supervision: Work independently during scheduled lone working periods and cover supervisor responsibilities when needed (with additional pay for hours covered).
