About the Role

We are looking for determined, caring, and thoughtful people to become long-lasting, significant adults in a child’s life. As a Bank Support Worker, you will enjoy the freedom of flexible shift patterns that fit around your lifestyle, while contributing to a children’s home that makes a positive, lasting difference.

No experience? No problem. This role is ideal for experienced Residential Workers or Youth Workers, but it is equally perfect for those with no prior experience who have the right heart and are looking to build a career in residential care. We provide a comprehensive induction and ongoing training.

What You Will Do

Compass Homes are built around accepting a child exactly as they are in a non-judgmental way. In this role, you will:

Build Connections: Create positive, trusting relationships with children and young people, helping them build self-esteem as they transition into adulthood.
Provide Holistic Support: Support children in all aspects of their lives, including activities, hobbies, and educational pursuits.
Create Structure: Consistency and organization are key. You will help create timetables, manage boundaries, and set clear expectations for the children.
Ensure Safety: Meet the needs of a variety of children—some requiring high levels of supervision—while keeping safeguarding at the forefront of everything you do.

What We Are Looking For

To meet Ofsted regulations and effectively support our youth, you must have:

Age: 22 years of age or above.
License: A valid manual UK driving licence.
Character: A caring, compassionate nature with the ability to remain calm and grounded in challenging situations.
Mindset: A true commitment to putting children at the center of everything you do.
