Senior Night Carer – Residential Care Home

Location: Hazelton Gardens, Hart Plain Avenue, PO8 8RX

Pay Rate: £17.37 per hour

Hours: 33.00 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Night Shifts

About the Role

As a Residential Senior Carer, you’ll look after the varying needs of our residents during the night to enable us to deliver exceptional, person-centred care and support. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which includes training, supervisions, and delegating duties on shift.

You will also support with the administration and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident family members. Always respecting resident dignity, you will play a vital part in creating a secure, warm, and comforting environment throughout the night.

About You

To join us as a Senior Night Carer, you will need:

An NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Previous experience in a residential care setting.
Proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support resident wellbeing.
A warm-hearted, compassionate disposition and a commitment to individualized care.
With ongoing training and development, many of our Senior Carers progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads, or onto nursing pathways!
