About the Opportunity

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist mental healthcare provider for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established hospital supporting adult women with complex mental health needs.

The successful candidate will lead either a medium or low secure ward, depending on experience and preference, while delivering high-quality psychiatric care within a supportive clinical environment.

The hospital is conveniently located just outside Warrington with excellent transport links to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adult female patients with complex mental health conditions.
Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
Develop and oversee individualized treatment and recovery plans.
Manage both mental and physical healthcare needs throughout patients' admissions.
Conduct psychiatric assessments for referrals to determine appropriate levels of care.
Prepare and present oral and written evidence for First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings.
Contribute to clinical governance, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with external stakeholders, including NHS England case managers.
Stay up to date with current psychiatric practice through ongoing professional development, conferences, and accredited training.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

Full GMC registration.
Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Specialist Registration (or eligibility to join) in either Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry.
Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician status.
Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Up-to-date appraisal and revalidation records.
Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary team working skills.
