Who We Are

Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

Because our work is both varied and challenging, we operate as a trauma- and attachment-informed organisation. We provide all staff with extensive therapeutic training and support. Our closely triangulated approach places the child at the centre of decision-making, ensuring that education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, local authorities, and our students work hand-in-hand to secure outstanding outcomes.

The Role

At our school, no two days are the same—and neither are the children. We require very special adults who can support children with complex and challenging behaviours.

Our TAs know that these children require a high level of attention, precise communication, consistency, and flexibility in equal measure, wrapped up in a completely non-judgemental approach. To thrive here, you must be resilient, persistent, and solution-focused. You will wear many different hats and be prepared to change them at a moment's notice!

What You Will Be Doing:

Supporting teachers in the classroom and managing resources.
Working with children 1:1 or leading small group sessions.
Accompanying children on educational trips and outdoor visits.
Supporting students socially, including having lunch with those who find social situations difficult.
Managing heightened behaviours and ensuring the safety of all children.
Engaging in diverse activities: from playing board games and conducting science experiments to building amazing wall displays.
Participating in therapy sessions, celebrating successes, and reflecting on difficult periods.
