About the Role

We are looking for determined, caring, and thoughtful people to become long-lasting, significant adults in a child’s life. As a Bank Support Worker, you will enjoy the flexibility of choosing shifts that fit your lifestyle while making a positive, lasting difference in a children’s home.

No experience? No problem. This role is ideal for experienced Residential or Youth Workers, but it is equally perfect for those with no prior experience who possess the right heart and mindset. We provide a comprehensive induction and ongoing training.

What You Will Do

Compass Homes are built around accepting a child exactly as they are in a non-judgmental way. In this role, you will:

Build Connections: Create positive, trusting relationships with children and young people, helping them build self-esteem as they journey into adulthood.
Provide Holistic Support: Support children in all aspects of their lives, including hobbies, schoolwork, and outdoor activities.
Create Structure: Use your organizational skills to help maintain timetables, set healthy boundaries, and establish clear expectations.
Ensure Safety: Meet the needs of a variety of children—some requiring high levels of supervision—while keeping safeguarding at the forefront of everything you do.

What We Are Looking For

To meet Ofsted regulations and the needs of our youth, you must have:

Age: 22 years of age or above.
License: A valid manual UK driving licence.
Character: A caring, compassionate nature with the ability to remain calm and grounded in challenging situations.
Mindset: A commitment to putting children at the center of your work.
