About Us: Who We Are

Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties, with some having suffered significant trauma or adverse childhood experiences.

The work we do is both varied and challenging. As a trauma- and attachment-informed organisation, we provide all staff with extensive therapeutic training and support. Our closely triangulated approach places the child at the center of decision-making, ensuring that education and therapy professionals, families, local authority teams, and our students work together to secure outstanding outcomes.

The Role: A Dynamic Leadership & Support Role

HLTAs at our school know that no two days or two children are the same. Our students require resilient, persistent, and solution-focused adults who can support complex and challenging behaviors with an adaptable, non-judgmental approach.

As an HLTA, you will wear many hats and be ready to change them at a moment’s notice. Your day-to-day may involve:

In the Classroom: Supporting teachers, managing resources, or creating amazing displays.
Direct Student Support: Working 1:1 with children, delivering small-group sessions, or participating in therapy sessions and behavioral reflection.
Social & Enrichment Activities: Having lunch with children who struggle socially, playing board games, conducting science experiments, or taking children on trips and visits.
Safety & Care: Managing heightened behaviors and keeping children safe while celebrating every success along the way.
