About the Opportunity

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist neurological rehabilitation provider for an experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team at Badby Park.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work within a highly specialist neurological rehabilitation setting, supporting adults with acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, complex communication disorders, tracheostomy care, and dysphagia. You will manage your own specialist caseload while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a highly specialist caseload independently.
Conduct comprehensive communication, tracheostomy, voice, and swallowing assessments.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
Lead tracheostomy communication management and weaning programmes.
Assess and manage dysphagia, ensuring safe swallowing practices.
Work closely with residents, families, carers, nursing staff, dietitians, psychologists, and occupational therapists.
Deliver communication-focused therapy groups.
Recommend, assess, and support the use of communication aids.
Supervise Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and provide monthly supervision and annual appraisals.
Deliver staff training on communication and swallowing programmes.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning.
Support safeguarding practices and participate in service development initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have:

HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Experience managing complex dysphagia caseloads.
Experience working with tracheostomy patients.
Experience supporting families and carers.
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary team-working skills.

The successful candidate will receive:

Annual salary of £51,168 (Full-Time Equivalent, pro rata).
