Your Role as a Registered Manager

As the Registered Manager, you will head the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive, and effective service for residents, ensuring delivery of the highest possible care standards fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations while achieving your operational and quality assurance KPIs. Responsibilities include:

Resident Choice & Dignity: Ensuring residents understand available care and treatment choices, promoting choice, dignity, and individuality.
Care Reviews: Reviewing existing care provision to meet current physical and mental health needs, liaising with residents, staff, health professionals, and social workers.
Quality Assurance & Auditing: Ensuring audits are carried out to understand service quality and taking quick reparative action when concerns arise.
Safety & Compliance: Ensuring effective risk assessments are in place to protect resident needs and overall home safety.
Team Leadership & HR: Inducting new staff, providing regular training, supervision, and motivation, and managing performance or disciplinary actions as required.
Staffing & Contingency: Effectively staffing services to cover resident needs with robust contingency plans for unexpected absences.
Safeguarding & Complaints: Investigating safeguarding, abuse, or service delivery complaints, ensuring notifications and the duty of candour are managed properly.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:
- A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK.
- Management qualification at QCF Level 4 or equivalent (or a willingness to work towards it).
- QCF Level 4 or higher in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Previous care experience within the Learning Disability sector.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the care sector, including running supported living homes and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Experience working with vulnerable client groups.
Desirable:
- Previous CQC registration in a residential service is preferable.
