About the Role

Join Aldi as an Assistant Store Manager and play a vital role in supporting the Store Manager while leading and inspiring a high-performing team. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will oversee daily operations—from managing deliveries and shift schedules to resolving customer queries—all while keeping people management, performance, and store targets front and center.

You will be a key leader in the store, gaining the operational experience needed to seamlessly step up into the Store Manager role whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience: Deliver outstanding customer service that consistently goes beyond expectations.
Team & Performance Management: Drive employee engagement and lead the team to meet operational targets and KPIs.
Stock & Quality Control: Monitor product quality, freshness, and manage stock rotation effectively.
Operations & Compliance: Maintain health and safety standards, enforce compliance, oversee till accuracy, and manage cash control.

Skills & Experience

Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing and motivating people in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Operational Efficiency: Excellent time management skills with a sharp focus on streamlining daily store tasks.
Target-Driven: Highly motivated to achieve KPIs and continuously exceed operational goals.
Compliance & Due Diligence: Knowledgeable in health and safety, regulatory, and store compliance standards.
