The Role & Your Caseload

This role offers an excellent work-life balance through a flexible hybrid model. You will be based out of the Bradford office, combining home working with community visits across your caseload in South Yorkshire.

Manageable Workload: Typically responsible for a low, focused caseload of up to 15 fostering families, giving you the time to provide high-quality support and guidance.
Reflective Practice: Work creatively with foster carers and young people to inspire them to reach their full potential and develop their skills.
Wrap-Around Support: Actively participate in an out-of-hours on-call service to ensure foster families have continuous, reliable support when they need it most.

What We Are Looking For

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Qualifications: A relevant professional qualification in Social Work.
Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Experience: Proven experience in a fostering-related social work role and/or child social care (e.g., Looked After Children's team), with a strong track record of identifying the needs of young people.
Knowledge: Sound understanding of fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding issues, alongside the ability to make objective professional assessments.
Mobility: A valid driving licence and access to a car for travel.
