Location: Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire (Residential Family Assessment Centre)

Salary: Up to £13.75 per hour

Job Type: Temporary / Flexible Bank Staff

Shift Patterns: 7.30am – 3.30pm & 2.30pm – 10.30pm (7.5-hour shifts + 30-min break, across 7 days)

At Supportive Bridge Staffing, we connect dedicated care professionals with meaningful opportunities. We are currently seeking passionate Bank Family Support Workers to join our temporary staff bank for a reputable Residential Family Assessment Centre in Cottingham.

This is a fast-paced, challenging, and deeply rewarding role where you can make a tangible difference in the lives of parents and their children.

## Your Role & Responsibilities

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide vital support to Parent & Child placements in a residential setting.

One-to-One Support: Deliver tailored care in accordance with individual care plans.
Skill Development: Guide and encourage parents in developing essential life skills, independence, and safe, nurturing childcare practices.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain high-quality support and rigorous safeguarding standards in line with OFSTED regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with families and permanent center staff to promote positive long-term outcomes.

## What We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Children’s Residential, Early Years, or Children’s Social Care setting.
Qualifications: Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Child/Young People or Parent & Child), or a genuine willingness to work towards achieving this.
Safeguarding: Strong knowledge and practical experience in safeguarding and supporting complex families.
Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate calmly and effectively during complex or challenging situations.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience working in partnership with external agencies (e.g., Safeguarding or Looked After Children’s Teams).
