Location: Manchester, Arndale

Salary: £14.75 - £15.72 per hour (Plus an additional premium of £4.00 per hour whilst running the store)

About the Role

As a Store Operations Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in helping manage a dynamic, high-performing store. This is an incredibly varied position where you will take real pride in maximizing sales, delivering exceptional customer service, minimizing costs, and optimizing daily operational efficiency.

There is genuine leadership responsibility here. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, you will step up to fully take charge of the store, gaining invaluable hands-on management experience to help you progress your career.

Key Responsibilities

Store Leadership: Take full charge of store operations when managing the floor, leading by example and driving performance.
Sales & Performance: Drive sales targets, monitor product displays, and optimize operational efficiency to ensure strong business results.
Team Development: Train, mentor, and support store employees to build a confident and capable team.
Stock & Cost Management: Handle day-to-day tasks ranging from ordering stock to managing costs effectively.
Customer Service: Ensure every shopper receives a fantastic in-store experience, upholding the high standards of a business that does things its own way.

What We Are Looking For

Proven experience in a retail or fast-paced operational environment (supervisor, team leader, or assistant/deputy management level).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and take accountability.
A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and daily store tasks.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ambition to grow within your management career.
